J. H. ROTTENBURGH (1672-1756)

Uno de los más célebres constructores y músicos, de los numerosos miembros de esta familia, es J. H. ROTTENBURGH, que se destacó en la corte de Bruselas a fines del siglo XVII y principios del siglo XVIII.

El instrumento original de J. H. Rottenburgh se conserva en el Museo de los Instrumentos de Bruselas.  Es una flauta  que data aproximadamente del año 1720 y está construida en cuatro partes, en madera de ébano y con un diapasón de alrededor de 400 Hz.

Es una flauta de buena entonación, con sonido lleno y es especial por su color  oscuro y por sus graves cálidos.

Puede utilizarse para ejecutar la música de J. S. Bach, G.F. Händel, Boismortier, Telemann.

J. H. ROTTENBURGH (1672-1756)

Of the numerous members of the instrument maker and musician family, one of the most famous is J. H. ROTTENBURGH, who made a name for himself in the Brussels court in the late seventeenth and early eighteenth century.
 

His original instrument is preserved in the Museum of Instruments of Brussels. It is a flute dating from about 1720 and was made in four parts, is fashioned out of ebony and has a pitch of about 400 Hz.
 

The flute has good intonation with a full sound and is special because of its dark color and its warm lower register.

It can be used to perform the music of J. S. Bach, G. F. Händel, Boismortier, and Telemann.
